THE PLACES WE COME ALIVE

A week to connect with what makes you feel most alive

DATES & LOCATION

April 4–10, 2027
Sansara Resort

Cambutal, Panama

There are places that wake something up in us.

Places that remind us how good it feels to move slowly. To spend our days in the ocean. To gather around a table with beautiful food and kind people. To laugh, to rest, to explore, and to remember what brings us alive.

This is your invitation to one of those places.

We'll gather at Sansara, an oceanfront sanctuary where the jungle meets the Pacific, and spend a week immersed in movement, nature, adventure, and meaningful connection.

Our days begin with Somatic / Hatha  yoga overlooking the ocean and unfold with swims in warm Pacific waters, stand-up paddleboarding, optional surf lessons (or surf sessions for those who already ride waves), waterfall adventures, nourishing meals, spacious afternoons, and evenings beneath the stars.

This isn't about escaping your life.

It's about returning home feeling more like yourself.

If something in you is quietly whispering yes, I'd love nothing more than to share this extraordinary place with you.

“There are places that don't ask us to become someone new. They simply remind us who we've been all along.”

A Story

Places become part of your story.
Sansara is one of those places.

The first time I arrived here, I felt something I wasn't expecting.

Not just awe.

A sense of belonging.

It felt as though the land itself was welcoming me home.

There is an incredible amount of care woven into this place. You feel it everywhere—from the thoughtfully designed spaces to the farm-to-table meals, from the warmth of the staff to the quiet beauty of Cambutal's untouched coastline.

I've led two beautiful retreats at Sansara

Each visit has left me carrying home the very same feeling.

More alive.
More inspired.
More connected to myself and the community.

That's how special this place has become to me. It's why I've chosen to return for a third time, and why I knew I wanted to gather here again.

Not because I believe a place can change who we are.

But because I believe there are places that help us remember..

The Conditions for Coming Alive

We don't come alive because we do more.

We come alive because we create the right conditions.

Movement.
Stillness.
Ocean.
Adventure.
Nature.
Beautiful food.
Meaningful conversation.
Rest.
Space.
Time.

Over the course of our week together, these become the quiet ingredients that gently wake up the parts of ourselves that have been buried beneath the pace of everyday life.

Morning movement in the oceanfront shala.

Afternoons spent paddleboarding, swimming, surfing, exploring waterfalls, or simply resting beside the pool.

Long dinners. Bare feet. Salt air. Conversations that linger.

There is no pressure to do it all.

Only an invitation to follow what feels nourishing.

Not because we're becoming someone new.

Because we're remembering someone familiar.

Imagine Returning Home...

Feeling lighter.
Feeling more rested.
Feeling more present.
Feeling more connected to yourself.

For Body & Soul

_I8A1086.jpg

At Sansara, our culinary philosophy is rooted in connection - to the land, the ocean, and the local community. We proudly source our fruits, vegetables, and eggs from independent farmers throughout Cambutal and the greater Azuero region, while the fish served each day is caught fresh from the waters just beyond our bay. Our kitchen celebrates these ingredients through bold Panamanian and Latin American flavors, tropical influences, and ever-evolving chef-driven menus.

Everything is crafted with intention - from house-made juices and wellness-forward dishes to small-batch kombucha brewed on-site. Our kitchen also accommodates vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets, ensuring every guest enjoys a personalized and nourishing dining experience.

Are all meals included?

All Sansara retreat and experience packages include three chef-prepared meals daily, from nourishing post-surf breakfasts to candlelit three-course dinners by the ocean - creating a holistic experience that connects wellness, community, and exceptional cuisine.

Can I make special requests?

Sansara's kitchen accommodates vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets, ensuring every guest enjoys a personalized and nourishing dining experience.

Your Retreat Host
Sarah Pascual

external-file_edited.jpg

Hi, I'm Sarah.

I'm a yoga teacher, retreat leader, mama to my adventurous little sidekick, Nikko, and someone who's happiest with salty hair, sandy feet, and a good cup of coffee in hand.

For nearly 20 years, I've been guiding people back to themselves through somatic yoga, mindful movement, nervous system care, and retreats rooted in nature and genuine connection. My classes are less about perfect poses and more about helping you feel at home in your body again. To soften. To breathe. To remember what makes you feel most alive.

This will be my third time returning to Sansara, and if I'm honest... this place has completely stolen my heart. The wild Pacific, the slower rhythm of life, the incredible people—it gets me every single time. I've watched this place work its quiet magic. Shoulders drop. Bellies soften. Strangers become lifelong friends. Something wakes up.

When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me chasing Nikko around the beach, sneaking away for a surf, wandering through a farmers market, or dreaming up our next adventure.

I can't wait to share this beautiful corner of the world with you.

P.S. Fair warning: you might leave with a deeper exhale, a stronger tan, and an irrational desire to rearrange your entire life around ocean swims. It happens.
